

She was born August 21, 1931 in St. Louis, MO to Richard and Emily Hilligoss Collins.
She married Robert E. Sampson in 1950; he passed away in 1959; their children Robert (Cindy) Sampson, O’Fallon, MO and Timothy (Carol Sandrowski) Sampson, St. Louis, MO all survive. In 1960, she married Donald Hall; he passed away in 1969; their children Janice (Brian) Kindred Heyworth, and Donald (Connie) Hall, Mason City, all survive. Then, in 1970, she married Richard Daughty; he passed away in 2010. Their son Patrick (Judy) Daughty, Fremont, NE and his children, Richard (Janet) Daughty, Heyworth, Denise (Bobby) Wallce, GA, Sherri (Buddy) Vest, MO, and James Daughty, MO all survive; as well as 31 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren on the way.
Also surviving are 2 sisters, Patricia Collins, Osage Beach, MO and Emily Harr, Kirkwood, MO; and 1 brother, Daniel (sue) Collins, Hazelwood, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 grandchildren; and 4 brothers.
Funeral services for Peanuts will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday April 13, 2013 at East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington. Visitation will be held from 4-8pm Friday April 12, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Randolph Township Cemetery, Heyworth.
She was an avid baseball fan who enjoyed rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals. She was a softball fast pitcher in 1948 and the first female cork ball pitcher in St. Louis; that team won several titles in the 1960s. She drew the attention of many sports writers and had an excellent breaking ball.
She was the president of the Highway Assistance Radio Patrol of St. Louis, assisting stranded motorists. As well as being mascot for the Metro-East St. Louis Chapter of the Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club Illinois 13. For many years, she was involved in the Boy Scouts in Heyworth and Bloomington.
