Surviving are her daughter: Sarah (fiancé: Daniel Otto) Denton; and grandchildren: Jordan and Kaitlyn Wright. She is preceded in passing by her parents; and brothers: Rick and Paul Hefner.
Mabel was a linen aid for Carle Bromenn for over 30 years. Even though she was notably renowned for her work ethic, Mabel was a fun mother and grandmother who spent her time doting on her grandchildren endlessly. She loved to crochet and go for walks with her grandbabies and was known most known for eating her morning bowl of Cheerios while playing cards with her granddaughter, Kaitlyn. She loved elephants, the color blue, and watching Perry Mason on TV and was deeply loved and cherished by her family.
Cremation rites have been accorded with East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington. At this time, no services are planned.
