Mary Jeanne McLaughlin

M. Jeanne McLaughlin, 89, of Normal, passed away at 10:54 a.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at her home.

She was born January 15, 1923 in Watseka, IL, daughter of Joseph “Joe” and Jeanne Thompson Burger. She married Charles W. McLaughlin on July 21, 1945. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Brad (Melissa) McLaughlin of Boise, ID and Greg (Shari) McLaughlin of Huntsville, AL; one daughter, Nancy (Jim) Bauman of Springfield, IL; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Prior to her marriage, Jeanne worked in the personnel department at State Farm Insurance Company, she then stayed at home to enjoy her family.

In her younger years, she enjoyed golfing.

Jeanne was a member of Second Presbyterian Church in Bloomington, where memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 and visitation will be one hour prior to services. The Rev. Michael McGaughan will officiate. Entombment of the urn will take place at East Lawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Bloomington.
