Surviving are his spouse: Carrie Boynton Cadieux; children: Bailey Nicole and Abby Lynn Cadieux; sister: Nicole Marie (Ron) Meneses; and niece: Maia Day Meneses. He is preceded in passing by his parents.
Michael was a passionate University of Florida football and basketball fan as an alumni of the class of 1989 and a loyal follower of the Dallas Cowboys since his childhood in Texas. He loved anything Marvel from collectible early comics to recent movies.
He enjoyed a career in advertising, publishing and graphic design for over 30 years working for John Buckle and Associates of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Ad Consultant Group of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Ad Pros Advertising of Coral Springs, FL, Cardinal/Americomm of Coral Springs, FL, First Marketing Company of Pompano Beach, FL, Pii and Taylor Corporation of Bloomington, IL. He also illustrated numerous books and book covers for BR Anchor Publishing of Wilmington, NC and others. More importantly, Michael loved to make people smile with his spontaneous illustrations and personalized hand colored cartoons on greeting cards with his signature "Cadieux Originals".
Michael was devoted to his wife and daughters and had a very charming personality and good sense of humor. Even so, he struggled with his own mental health. A Celebration of Life visitation, themed with Michael’s favorite Gator football team will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. Please join family and friends in sharing stories and refreshments in honor of Michael’s life. Casual attire is welcome, especially in Gator colors of blue and orange.
