Jeree was born on November 11, 1940 to Howard and Lucille Norfleet in LeRoy-Arrowsmith, IL. She spent her childhood there, and attended LeRoy high school where she enjoyed cheerleading. She graduated in 1958.
In 1960, she welcomed her first daughter, Kimberly (Jeff Williamson) and then Jodi (Flint Sampson) two years later. Her family was her greatest pride and joy.
On September 9, 1999, she married the love of her life, Jim Ogan and gained two more children, Jeff (Amy) Ogan of Tennessee and Amy (Ray) Farley of Florida.
She is also survived by grandchildren, Tasha (Toby) Dunn, Taylor (Travis) Cunningham, Lucy Williamson, Mary (Robert) Tompkins, Noah and Owen Williamson, and Abby, Ben, and Tyler Ogan, brother, Jimmy Norfleet, and great grandchildren, Tucker and Tinley Dunn, and Talan, Scarlett, and Everly Cunningham.
Waiting for her in Heaven were her parents, beloved sister, Judy Oltman, and great grandson, Shepherd Punke.
In addition to being a loving mother and grandmother, she was also an incredibly talented cook and artist, with an eye for all things sparkly and “exquisite”. She spent many years working at People’s Bank and later managed the Bromenn thrift store, before retiring to spend more time with her family, and of course, her cats, Marilyn Monroe and Domino.
She lived with Alzheimer’s for over a decade, but it never stole her sweetness, spunkiness, or sense of humor. She is dearly loved and will be missed by her family and friends until they are reunited.
The family would like to thank OSF Hospice and Jeree’s high school friend and caregiver, Sharon for making it possible for her to spend her last days at home just like she had hoped. A private family service has been held, according to her wishes. Arrangements were under the care and direction of East Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
