Patricia M Bishop

Patricia M. Bishop, 77, of Normal passed away at 7:40p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Heritage Manor in Normal.

She was born November 22, 1933 in Danvers, IL the daughter of W. Everett and Josephine Mae Farrell Jones. She married Gradyn Bishop on May 10, 1952.

Patricia is survived by four sons, Patrick (Michelle) Bishop, Brad (Debbie) Bishop, Rick (Renee) Bishop and Kevin “Joe” Bishop. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Jeremie, Lucas and Austin Bishop, Alexis Cornejo, Kirsten, Kali Bishop and Dominic Graves; two brothers, Bud (Nancy) Jones and Mauri (Peggy) Jones and three sisters, Jeannine (Ron) Baker, Sonja Davis and Candace (Bob) Gustavson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Kirk Bishop; one grandson, Chad Bishop; one brother, Byrl Jones and three sisters, Gale Ely, Colleen Malinowski and Lila Wherry.

Patricia was a loving mother and grandmother, she was also an avid bingo and poker player.

She worked many years for the Heyworth School District and worked for Illinois State University before retiring in 1999 to take care of her twin granddaughters.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington. Burial will be held at a later date at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington.

Cremation rites have been accorded.
