

He is survived by Norma Sholty, Fern (Rob) Walden Bloomington, IL, Joyce (Mark) Ryburn, Heyworth, IL, and Richard Paul Brown, Covell, IL, and his sister Gwendolyn Jerrett, Floral, AR.
There are 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Mary Louise Rowlls, 2 brothers, Willian Basil and Rev. James Warron Brown.
PTC Richard L. Brown served in Korea. On March 19, 1953 he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for heroic achievement in connection with military operations. He also holds the Purple Heart.
He started his married life in Bloomington, working at State Farm Insurance. It was his desire to start his own business, Brown Sales and Service, which he ran for 20 plus years.
He was a member of First Assembly’s in Minier, IL. He enjoyed playing steel guitar in church.
Visitation for Richard will take place on March 31 at 10am at East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington, IL, with the service to begin at 11:00am following the visitation, also at East Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 12:00pm at East Lawn Memorial Gardens.
