He was born on November 1, 1946 in Bloomington, son of Clifford Sterling and Alice Rebecca Eades Gray.
Dick leaves behind one niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Dick retired from a long-career at State Farm Insurance Company, Bloomington, where he worked in maintenance.
He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He enjoyed following the dirt track races and riding motorcycles of all kinds, especially Triumph, Harley-Davidson's and BMW's. Dick was a former member of the Bloomington '55, '56, '57 Chevy Club, having owned and restored Chevy's of his own.
