

He was born August 4, 1941 in Pekin to Dorsel E. and Frances E. Cole. He married Judith A. Holmstrom on August 21, 1965 in Wenona. She survives him.
Also surviving are a daughter, Cindy Rohlen of Concord, NC, and a son, Brad (Kristina) Cole of Bloomington; four grandsons, Jake, Nick andMax Rohlen, andParker Cole; andone granddaughter, Morgan Cole, his two brothers; Gerald (Peggy) Cole of Mackinaw, IL, and Kevin (Denise) Cole of Pekin, IL, and his sister Kathy (Bryant) Blevins of Delavan, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Robert worked as a route salesman and supervisor for Hostess Cake, and as a route salesman for Frito Lay, retiring in August 2001.
He was a 50 year member of the Delavan Masonic Lodge 156 A.F. & A.M.
He was very much a family man who always made sure thathis familyhad a vacation every year. He loved to travel. He was also an avid Corvette enthusiast. He and Judy have traveled all over the country in their Corvette and also have traveledoverseas.
Incelebration of his life, his funeral will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, March, 16, 2013 at East Lawn Funeral Home.Pastor Larry Moreau, Delavan,will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday at East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington, followed by a Masonic service at 8 p.m. Burial will be at East Lawn Cemetery.

Robert will be rememberedas a man who trulyloved people and had many friends. He was a kind, generous and loving husband, father and grandfather (“Papa”). He adored his family and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to thank his doctors and everyone involved in the excellent care he was given at Advocate BroMenn Hospital and everyone for all their caring support and prayers.
