Ronald Blalock

Ron was born July 7, 1941 in Dyersburg, TN to Calvin R. and Haddy B. Brown Blalock. He married Carolyn (Bates) Garrett in 1977; she survives.

Also surviving are 2 sons, Ronnie (Kayla Barnard) Blalock II, Bloomington, and Randy Blalock, Chattaroy, WV; 1 daughter, Brandy (John) McMann, Heyworth; grandchildren, Jared (Stephanie Stepp) Blalock, Mudlick, KY, Randy (Whitney) Blalock, Laural Creek, WV, Amber (Derrick Kerrick) Rusk, Bloomington, Brittany McMann , Erica McMann both of Heyworth, and Calvin James Barnard, Bloomington; great-grandchild, Carson Blalock, Mudlick, KY; and mother-in-law, Sophia Bates

A memorial celebration will be held from 1-5pm, Sunday February 17, 2013 at the Heyworth American Legion. East Lawn Funeral Home is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.

He served his country in the Air Force in the Philippines from 1958-1962 as a member of the Military Police. He was a member of Local 63, Chicago, Ironworkers Union. After retiring, he was a construction foreman for 17 years, remodeling apartment buildings in Chicago for GGI, Inc. He loved fishing and going to the watching action movies. He recently accepted Jesus Christ as his savior.
