Ronald H. Williams

Ronald H. Williams, 85, of Hudson passed away May 29, 2023 at his residence and surrounded by family. He was born June 28, 1937 in Kewanee, IL to Linus F. and June A. (Siefert) Williams. Ronald graduated from high school with honors and following graduation, went into the United States Navy as a Seabee. During his service, Ronald ranked up to 2nd Class Petty Officer.

Following his service, Ronald became a union carpenter and married the love of his life, Jean B. Carkner. Together the two celebrated 65 years together. Ronald was an avid Bears and Cubs fan. He was loved by all who met him and will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Jean Williams; children, Shelly (Kenny), Wendy (Philip), Kurt (Lynette); 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, David; and great-aunt, Bernadine.

He is preceded in passing by his parents, Linus and June Williams; and 3 grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Entombment will follow services. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of McLean County or to the Alzheimer’s Association, Illinois Chapter.
