

formally of Colfax, IL passed away on July 3, 2015 at LeRoy Manor. He was born on March 14, 1923, to his parents Roy Erman and Cellia (Stretch) Bradford. He was a proud Veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army.
He attended country schools in Colfax and Anchor areas and was
a member of Colfax Methodist Church. He owned and operated
a corn shelling business until retirement and moving to Bloomington.
In April of 2014 went on the Honor Flight with his son.
He was active in the Elks Lodge #281 of Bloomington and belonged to
Colfax American Legion #653. Roy was a devoted husband, father and
brother, and will be missed by all who knew him.
He married Lillian Marshall in 1942. Together they had 3 sons,
Roy L. Bradford Jr., twins Donald and Ronald Bradford. They were
divorced and he later married Virginia Hibbs April 1, 1967.
He is survived by 2 sons Donald (Donna) Bradford, Ronald (Sharron) Bradford
of Bloomington, daughter-in-law Brenda Bradford, Bloomington and Stepson
Jerry (Elaine) Hibbs of Ottawa, one sister, Carol Hereford of Colfax, sister-in-law
Betty Bradford of Cooksville and Irma Bradford of Findlay, thirteen grandchildren,
thirty two great-grandchildren, four-great-great-grandchildren
Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, a son, granddaughter, 6 brothers and
2 sisters.

Visitation will take place Wednesday, July 8 at 10am at East Lawn Funeral Home, 1102 Airport Rd., Bloomington. The service will follow at 11am with military honors at the Mausoleum to conclude.
