Roy Douglas Jr., 86, of Bloomington passed away May 2, 2022. He was born January 20, 1936 in Stanford, KY, to Roy Sr. and Oma (Moran) Douglas and married his sweetheart, Peggy Curtsinger in Normal on August 11, 1958.
Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years Peggy: children, Bill (Tammy) Douglas of Bloomington, IL, Mary (Dean) Darnall of Bloomington, IL,: three grandchildren and two great children; siblings, Carl (Sue) Douglas of IN, Jim (Eileen) Douglas of McLean, IL, Nancy Wolford of FL, and Mary (Ken) Jones of FL. He is preceded in passing by his parents and brothers, Kenneth, Howard, and Raymond Douglas.
Roy retired from Purity Baking Company in 1991 after over 25 years of service. Roy loved the outdoors including boating, camping, hunting and fishing.
Per Roy’s request, cremation rites have been accorded with East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington. At this time no services are planned, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
