Hello Shirley and christopher...
Me, john thomas was with Shiji from 1978 till 1982 march in Loyola, Trivandrum.
I never did contact him ever since '82 for no reasons. We used to be together for long durations whether it is a drama competition..tt or hockey...or any other cultural activity.
And today it's a shock to me to know that He is with HIM. When I condole on the sad demise of the topper Loyolite. I sicerely realise, that i did never contact him when he was physically contactable.
Let me lift him up in my prayers ... so that you  have strength and courage to travel with the torch he has lit and handed over.

Dear Shirley and Chris, 
I was Shiji's friend and dormitory mate for two years at Hyderabad Public School (HPS). I am very sad to hear the news.  He was a fantastic guy, always joking, and was well read.  He read the Hindu newspaper end to end. He read novels even during exam days while we were struggling with our text books.  He was a very good hockey player.

I had been in touch with him for a few years after school mainly through letters.  I had never realized that he had moved to the US.  I wish I had an opportunity to reconnect here in the US.

I understand we can never fill the void.  I pray that his soul rest in peace.

I am a school friend of Shiji's from Hyderabad Public School- we were also in the hostel together (East Wing). I was really sad to learn about Shiji's passing away. While i had not met him since we passed out his cheerful face still remains etched in my memory.

I want to share my heartfelt condolences. I don’t how to express the shock at first and the sadness followed. I know Shiji for the last 25 years. We met at the Trichur engineering college in 1984. We stayed in the Alpha lodge, college hostel. We had all that fun during the college days. Shiji was a person of leadership. He was the college fine arts secretary, then the Chairman of the college, winner of JAM sessions, drama and quiz competitions and a good hockey player.   I last met him with Shirley at Blumington in 1993 or so. Shirley was pregnant of Chris then. Shiji used to talk to me so much about Chris and family every time we talk occasionally over the years. I can’t still believe that he is no more with us.

     I first met Shiji twenty five years ago at Trichur Engineering College and at Alpha Lodge. Time has faded many of my memories of those days, but Shiji stands out so vividly - he was an extraordinary young man, with an incandescent smile and a serene personality; he always seemed unflappable and cheerful, and he was always ready to debate an issue with knowledge and passion, leavened with unfailing politeness and humor. He was a leader in the college student government, and in organizing arts festivals and leading college teams at other venues. 
     
I had the pleasure of meeting Shiji and Shirley again in 1993 (some months before Chris was born) in Normal, and was struck by their unstinting hospitality and grace when they were faced with unannounced weekend guests. I deeply regret that we didn't stay in touch over the years.
