Shiji Thankan, 43, of Bloomington, passed away at 8:09 a.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center in Normal.
He was born April 17, 1966 in India, son of T.M. and Kunjamma Abraham. He married Shirley Thomas on July 21, 1988 in India.
Surviving are his wife of Bloomington; one son, Christopher Thankan of Bloomington; his father of India and three brothers , Sajan, Reji, Tiji and one sister, Sajani all of India. Also surviving are his mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Annicattu of Bloomington and one sister-in-law, Shiney (Issac) Jacob of Normal.
Shiji formerly worked at State Farm Insurance Company in Bloomington as a system analyst.
He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Normal.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 16, 2010 at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and a visitation service will be at 6 p.m. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington.
