Shirley F Lane

Shirley F. Lane, 78, of Normal passed away June 26, 2015 in Normal with family by her side. She was born October 25, 1936 in Bloomington to George and Chaline (Cresse) Hall. She grew up in Bloomington. She was a waitress at The Terrace, Brandtville, and most recently a cashier at Cracker Barrel, among the many places she served during her career. She married William Lane on May 5, 1972. Shirley was a very giving person and she had a great sense of humor. She loved to be active, starting a bunko group, as an avid bowler, and playing bingo about town. She loved Elvis. She worshiped at Victory Christian Center in Bloomington.

Shirley is survived by her husband William Lane; her son Greg (Karen) Cooke; her step daughters Lynn Dulaney, Sue (Victor) Ryburn, Julie (Larry) Stine; step sons Mike and Bryan (Kelly) Lane; her brother Russell Hall; 10 grand children and 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation will take place Wednesday July 1 at 10am at East Lawn Funeral Home, 1102 Airport Rd., Bloomington, with the service to begin at 12 noon. Burial will follow in the mausoleum at East Lawn Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow the interment at Victory Christian Center, 18180 US-150, Bloomington, IL 61705.
