Thelma Mae Erickson Osman

She was born February 19, 1920 in Melvin, Illinois to Fred and Ruth (Smith) Kysar. She married Ernest A. Erickson on August 7, 1948. Ernest passed away on November 20, 1987. She later married William Osman on January 21, 2003 in Brazil, Indiana. He passed away on July 30, 2006.

Thelma worked at various places throughout her life, but her favorite job was at the Schnucks bakery where she worked for 13 years. She retired when she was 83 years old.

She loved doing crossword puzzles and reading. She was a lover of animals especially her little shorkie, Isabella Mae (Izzy). Her greatest joys in life were her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter: Carolyn J. Gesler of Bloomington, three grandchildren: Paige (Scott) Beal of Bloomington, Troy (Nicolle) Beal of Bloomington, and Lainey Hawkins of Chicago; three great grandchildren: Nathan Beal, Carson Beal, and Christian Beal. Also surviving is a very dear sister-in-law and friend, Georgiana Johnson of Gibson City.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Bernard and Marvin Kysar; one sister Helena Taylor and a daughter Linda E. Hawkins.

Visitation will be from 6:00pm-8:00pm Wednesday December 3, 2014 at East Lawn Funeral Home, 1102 Airport Rd. Bloomington, IL. Funeral Service will be Thursday December 4, 2014 at 10:00am at the Funeral Home. Interment will be at Elliott Cemetery.
