

Thelma was born on February 17th 1939, in Sullivan, Indiana to Cletus and Frances Lambert. When she was 2 years old the family moved to the Englewood Neighborhood in Chicago. She graduated from Parker High School in Chicago and later moved to Harvey, Illinois where she finished her associates degree at Thornton Community College. In 1959 she married William Earl Larson in Harvey, IL. They were married for 35 years until Bill's death in 1994. She was a homemaker and for many years worked for Dr. Charles G. Kratz, Homewood, Illinois. She was a dedicated and loving wife to her late husband Bill, a devoted mother to her children Mark (Albuquerque, New Mexico) and Paul (Wauwatosa, WI).
She was a member of the Methodist Church in Harvey, IL, Thornton, IL, Valparaiso, IN and Bloomington, IL.
Thelma lived a fulfilling life and was a woman of many talents. She had a passion for cooking and baking, and her homemade dishes were always the highlight of family gatherings. She also had a green thumb and loved tending to her garden, which was always in full bloom. She enjoyed reading books (2-3 per week).
She was kind and generous, always putting others’ needs before her own. Her love and compassion extended to all those who knew her, and she will be remembered for her infectious smile and warm personality.
Thelma was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sons, Mark (Sue) and Paul (Karen), 5 grandchildren (Eric, Christina, Anna, Danny and Julia, and 3 great-grandchildren (Maya, Ella and Michael), and three sisters, Dorothy, Judy and Alice. A private memorial service will be held for immediate family members at a later date.
