Warren "Bud" L. Courtney

He was born November 1, 1938 in Bloomington, IL to Warren L. and Hazel V. (Bennett) Courtney. He married Mabel Loreine Baugh May 3, 1960 in Bloomington, they were married for 59 years. She survives.

He is also survived by his son Randy L. (Glenda) Courtney; grandson Ryan (Jaime) Courtney; grandsons Colin and Connor Nolon; great-grandson River Michael Courtney, great-granddaughter Briar Grace Courtney; nephew Harold Rotramel Jr., Donny Courtney, Jay (Brenda) Courtney, Kevin(Melissa) Baugh, Scott (Lynda) Baugh; nieces Debbie (Dave) Dodson, Brenda Beard, Sherry (Jim) Campbell, Donna (Jeff) Gray and Jackie Szara, Terri Cruzer; sisters-in-law Ella Marie Courtney, Mary (Fred) Hougham, brother-in-law Russ (Sue) Baugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Michael Courtney, brother Donald Courtney,

sister Katherine Rotramel; brother-in-law Harold Rotramel Sr., nephew Rusty Baugh.

Bud worked for Chicago Daley News for 14 years, winning several trips with the news carriers.

He also worked for Don Stone Ford from 1974-1979, then for Bob Dennison Ford Toyota

BMW from 1980 until his retirement as General Manager in 2008. He liked car racing and playing

golf, and the Chicago Cubs.

He loved making his yard look amazing. He attended the United Methodist Church of Downs,

Il. He was proud of his son Randy and grandson Ryan. He dearly loved his great grandchildren.

He was one of a kind, was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be Monday, June 24, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington. Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at East Lawn Funeral

Home. Pastor Ken Burgard will officiate. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Bud’s name to the Downs United Methodist Church Building Fund.
