Willie Lee Paul Shorter Sr., affectionately known as "Westside Willie," passed away on January 12, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on December 3, 1941, in Clarksdale, Mississippi, Willie was the beloved son of Adam and Fannie Shorter.
On January 20, 1968, he married the love of his life, Isabell Ross. Together, they shared a life full of love and happiness. Willie was known for his humorous and faithful nature, traits that endeared him to all who knew him.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Isabell Shorter, his son, Willie Lee Shorter Jr., and his daughter, Gretta Campbell. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Chanell, Antavia, Aaliyah, and Gabrielle, and his great-grandchildren, Alanni and Aubrey. Willie is also survived by his siblings, Amy Baker, Mae B. Blue, Sam (Gertrude) Shorter, and Nathan (Mattie) Shorter, as well as his special niece Molly Washington, favorite cousin, Alice Williamson, and a host of family and friends.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents and twelve siblings.
Willie was an avid fisherman, he also enjoyed hunting and was known as the family jokester, always bringing smiles and laughter to those around him.
Westside Willie will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation will be held on February 13,2026 from 12:00 to 1:00PM with a service to follow at 1:00PM at East Lawn Funeral Home 1102 Airport Rd, Bloomington Il.
