
Ada Catherine (Rice) Wilson. 96, of Bloomington died at her residence on Tuesday, November 30, 2010. Sh was born on November 30, 1914 to the late Ora and Mary Ellen (Hacker) Rice in Clear Creek, Indiana. She was a Homemaker. She graduated from Linton High School in 1932. She was a long time member of 3-T's Home Extension Club and had received many Grand Champion, Reserve Grand Champion and Honor ribbons for her achievements at the Monroe Co. Fair. She was a wonderful seamstress. She was also an honorary member of the Buck's and Doe's Square Dance Club.
She is survived by two daughters and their husbands: Brenda and Richard Hancock and Kay and Daniel Strahm both of Bloomington. Also 9 Grandchildren:Doug & Lisa Wilson of Ellettsville, Marisa & Brant Donovan of Clayton, IN, Linda Sparks of Bloomington, Patricia and Bruce Raper of Spencer, Rita Page of Stanford, Sandy & Dennis Stillions of Leesville, Deborah Buckley of Solsberry, Tamara & Brent Mezger of Dayton, OH and Brad Kinder of Louisville, KY., 22 Great Grandchildren and 9 Great-Great Grandchildren, a brother: Harold Hickman and a sister; Rhea Dawn Brinson and several Nieces & Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her Husband: Orville Wilson in 1990, a son: Duane Wilson in 1986 and 5 Brothers: Orie, John, Herbert, Jesse and Robert Rice.
Friends and family may call from 5 to 8 PM Thursday at the Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday. The service will be at 2:00 PM Friday at the Mortuary with Rev. John Callahan and Rev. Erin Callahan officiating, with burial following at Garrison Chapel Cemetery.
