

Camille Burge Roe, age 62, of Bloomington, died Monday afternoon at her residence after a lengthy illness. Camille was born on January 29, 1954 in Linton, Indiana, the daughter of J.O. and Anglea “Pat” (Bailey) Burge. She graduated from the Highland Academy in Portland, Tennessee and later on graduated from the Southern Missionary College in Collegedale, Tennessee where she received her bachelor’s degree in social work with some study toward a master’s degree. She worked with Debra Corn, Specialized Family Care in Spencer, Indiana placing foster and adoptive children into loving homes. Camille loved her stray dogs that she adopted and had a special love for pit bull terriers. She enjoyed caring for the animals on her farm, especially the cattle, and doing cross stitch sewing. She was a member of the Bedford Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Camille shared a very loving and devoted marriage to husband, Wallace Roe, to whom she married in September 1981 at Hartford, Kentucky, her son, Brandon Roe, of Terre Haute, her daughter, Christal (Barry) Query, of Bowling Green, Indiana, her mother, Anglea “Pat” Burge, of Hartford, Kentucky; two granddaughters, Cloey Jane Query and Alyssa Query and a special aunt, Patty Jane Burge, of Bedford, Indiana.
Camille was preceded in death by her father, J.O. Burge and sister, Joann Harris.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene and Harrell Chapel with Pastor Steve DeLong officiating. Burial will follow in Carmichael Cemetery. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the Bedford Seventh Day Adventist Church Building Fund,1700 N Pike Rd; Bedford, IN 47421-6609.
