

Dwight “Barney” George Fry passed away unexpectedly while saving his wife at Lake Monroe on June 16th, 2022. Barney was born in Independence, MO on November 24th, 1957 to Richard Fry and Nancy Hagamen.
He is survived his beloved wife, Michele Bruce Fry, of Springville; his step-children, Stephanie Bruce of Bloomington and Robert Bruce of Bloomington; his step-grandchildren, Kylan Bruce of Springville, Garrett Bruce of Bloomington, Abby Berbaum of Illinois, and Kamryn Slade of Spencer; siblings, Dennis Fry of Bloomington, Nancy Smith of Nebraska, and Victoria Strunk of Bloomington; and several nieces and nephews.
Barney was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Fry of Arizona and Nancy (Childers) Hagamen of Bloomington; his siblings, Patricia Ruth Fry of Bloomington and Leo Hagamen, Jr. of Bloomington; and his son, Michael Dwight Fry of Bloomington.
Barney was active in the community—especially through House of Prayer and the UnChained Gang. He strove to help those in need. He loved his bike, traveling, the outdoors, and spending time with his family.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on July 9th at 6 pm at the House of Prayer, (4100 N Hartstrait Road, Bloomington). Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.DeremiahFryeMortuary.com for the Fry family.
