

Gary Lee, 72, entered eternal life on Wednesday, February 16th, 2022. He was born in Bloomington to Bernice Marie Turner and Henry Franklin Lee on August 2nd, 1949. He attended Bloomington High School and continued with College Classes at IU for his job. He worked at L&M Railroad in his younger years and eventually started working at Indiana University at the IU Power Plant from 1975 until retirement in 2007. He was also a member of the American Legion #18, happily married the love of his life Julia Bowers Lee on 8/31/1968 in Louisville, KY. He is a member of City Church of All Nations.
Gary was known as an incredibly sociable person with an amazing sense of humor; making everyone around him crack up at his jokes. He was one of those people who made you enjoy the moment at hand. Gary was a kind, honest, and thoughtful person who was a devoted to his family, love, and religion. He loved music and Gospel.
Gary is survived by, wife, Julia Lee; son, Scott Lee; daughter, Lori (Randy) Brown; daughter, Lisa (Geno) Ramage; sister, Loma (Bill) Douglas; brother Larc (Kimberly) Lee; brother and sister in laws, Ginny (Ron) Hudson, Wade (Kathy) Fipps, Bobby (Julie) Fipps; grandchildren, Ashlee (Patrick) Dine, Felicia Holden (Jay Lewis), Lorann Brown (Charlie Baugh), Steven (Kaylee) Ramage, Sean Lee, Sheldon Ramage; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Hailee, Trent, Thaddeus, Mateo; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a best friend, Rick Miller.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roger Sparks.
There will be a visitation on Tuesday, Feubrary 22nd at Deremiah Frye-Mortuary (700 W. Gourley Pike, Bloomington, IN 47404) from 4 to 8pm and a funeral service with one hour visitation prior, on Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home as well. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will include Sean Lee, Rick Miller, Bill Douglas, Patrick Dine, Charlie Baugh, and Sheldon Ramage.
