Joan Claire (Rasche) Cissell

Joan Claire (Rasche) Cissell, age 81, of Bloomington, died Friday morning at her residence. Born July 24, 1935 in Jasper, Indiana, she was the daughter of Richard and Margaret (Donahue) Rasche. She was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church and had retired from R.C.A.

She is survived by her children, Donald Cissell and his wife Linda, Lisa North and her husband Danny Kidd, Christina Pauley and her husband Kevin and Grace Cissell, all of Bloomington; nine grandchildren, Mark North, Kevin North, Katie Cissell, Maggie Cissell, Richie Cissell, Christian Pauley, Matthew Kidd, Aimee Greaves and Danny North, Jr.; one brother, Richard “Pete” Rasche, of Jasper, Indiana and two sisters, Janice Rasche, of Jasper, Indiana and Grace Tennant, of Owensboro, Kentucky and five nephews, Shane Rasche, Tim Rasche, Rick Rasche, Luke Rasche and Jamie Rasche

She is reunited in the presence of our Heavenly Father with her husband, Harry Cissell, one son, Kelan P. Cissell on Nov. 19, 2016, one grandson, Brandon Cissell and one brother, Donald Rasche.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at St. St. John Catholic Church by Reverend Father Daniel J. Mahan. Rite of Committal will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the church.

Memorial contributions may be given to the St. John the Apostle Catholic Church.
