

Marcia Ann Harrell, age 77, of Indianapolis, formerly of Bloomington died Wednesday afternoon at Meadow Lakes Health Care Center in Mooresville. Born May 30, 1939 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of William K. and Dorothy L. (Mitchner) Ollis. She graduated from Bloomington High School, class of 1957. Marcia had a faithful relationship with God and attended Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Bloomington where she was known and loved as the “Cake Lady” due to her baking skills. She was an avid Longaberger Basket collector, loved chatting with her many lifelong friends and spending time with her daughter, Renee. Their bond was amazing and unbreakable. They were true best friends. Marcia worked at R.C.A. and A.T.R. Coil and retired from P.T. S. Electronics.
Marcia is survived by her daughter and fiancé Renee Harrell Smith and Jason McCoy, both of Indianapolis, several nieces and nephews, including Kimberly Carpenter, who was like a daughter to her, several great nieces and nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her aunt, Doris Mitchner, of Bloomington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and her beloved son, Timothy R. Harrell.
There will be a memorial gathering of family and friends at the Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene and Harrell Chapel; 700 W. Gourley Pike on Saturday from 12 noon to 6:00 p.m.
