

Mary “Granny” Naylor, 101, of Bloomington, passed away on March 25, 2011 at Richland-Bean Blossom Health Care Center. Mary was the youngest of three children to Charles & Rose (Wible) Fowler in Bloomington, on February 19, 1910.
She attended Payne School through the eighth grade and graduated from Bloomington High School. She went on to graduate from Indiana University in 1932 in education. She was a teacher at Gosport High School where she taught home economics, biology and chemistry. On May 4, 1936 she married Clyde A. Naylor at the Gosport Methodist Church and proudly became a farm wife then started a family. She was a member of Maple Grove Christian Church for over 60 years. She contributed to cleaning the church and serving as a Sunday School Teacher for many of those years. She was also a member of the Helping Hands Club and Dixie Home Economics Club.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clyde who passed away on April 9, 1989, and her two sisters, Catherine Fowler Morrison and Helen E. Turner.
She is survived by her four children, James B. “Jim” Naylor (Barbara), Jay H. “Bart” Naylor (Sarah), John W. Naylor (Leanna McKnight), and Julia R. “Susie” Anderson (Victor); 10 grandchildren, Ann Lammers (Brian), Lynn Goodwin (Mark), Karrie Bailey (Jason), Scott Naylor, Johnna Martin (Tommy), Jama Naylor, Jennifer Livingston (John), Josh Naylor (Randi), Vincent Anderson (Wendy), and Jerry Anderson (Jana); 4 step-grandchildren, Steve Elzey, Jim Elzey, Cindy Cross (Steve) and Vicky Elzey; 15 great-grandchildren, Brianna and Justin Lammers, Jaylynn and Garrett Goodwin, Brendan, Brooke and Brayden Bailey, Ronnie, Robbie and Riley Martin, Abbey Wells and Alex Livingston, Carly Naylor, Danica Anderson, and Eleanor Anderson; and 2 step great-grandchildren, Taylor Elzey and Elizabeth Cross.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Wedneday, March 30, at Deremiah Frye Mortuary Green & Harrell Chapel with Rick Amerine officiating. Burial will follow at Chambersville Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, March 29, from 2 to 8 PM and one hour prior to services on Wednesday.
