Nina Minton

Nina Mae Minton, 85, of Bloomington passed away Wednesday January 19th at Bloomington Hospital. She was born on July 1, 1925 to the late Walter & Lavena (Oskins) Snelling in Spencer County, Indiana. She was retired from IU and Indiana Bell. She was Baptized at the First Christian Church, was a member of the Bloomington Quilting Guild. She made quilts for many children in distress. She also made pillow cases for children in Bloomington Hospital through Klaibers Sewing Center and for many other charities as well.

She is survived by her friends: Ethel Satter, Sara Gose, Kay Smith and Dianne Masse all of Bloomington, her cat: Zoey and many other good friends.

She was preceded in death by two sisters: Betty Snelling and Evelyn Eldena Snelling.

Friends may call at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel on Monday January 24th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, there will be a celebration of Nina's life at a later date. Burial will be private at Valhalla Memory Gardens.

Donations in memory of Nina may be made to the Monroe County Humane Society in care of the Mortuary.
