Rickey Lee Axsom Sr.

Rickey Lee Axsom Sr., 69, of Bloomington, IN passed away at IU Health Bloomington Hospital on Tuesday, July 26th, 2022. Rickey was born in Bloomington to William Axsom Jr and Maxine Ray on February 22nd, 1953.

He is survived by his partner, Wanda Axsom; his daughter, Wendy (Chris) Mahan; his sister, Joyce Hewitt; his brother, Darrel Axsom; grandchildren, Charles Axsom, Andrew Mahan, and Jackson Mahan; and several nieces. Rickey is preceded in death by his parents, William May Axsom Jr. and Maxine Joyce (Patton) Ray; his son, Rickey Axsom Jr.; and sister, Joann Dalton.

Rickey enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with friends and family. A private family graveside service will be held at 2pm on Friday, July 29th 2022, at Rose Hill Cemetery (1100 W 4th St, Bloomington, IN 47404) with Rev. Harold Godsey officiating.
