Shirley A. Hammons Waldrip, 79, of Bloomington died Thursday May 7, 2015 in I.U. Health, Hospice House. She was born January 21, 1936 in Martinsville, IN to Louis Hammons and Mary Whilhite Hammons. She was married to Charles R. Waldrip and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Plummer and her husband Kevin residents of Florida; a sister, Carol S. Hammons Kendall of Martinsville; and one grandchild Raychel Elizabeth Shields and three great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Shirley was preceded in death by her parents.
Per her wishes there will be no visitation or services. Burial will take place in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Deremiah-Frye Mortuary.
