

Thomas Joel Denning, 36, of Greenwood and formerly of Bloomington died Friday, October 6, 2017 in his residence. He was born May 6, 1981 in Bossier City, Louisiana to Richard Denning and Debra Maine Denning. He had worked most recently for Dickinson Fleet Services, Carmel Indiana and for the Center for Security and Privacy in Informatics, Computing, and Engineering at Indiana University.
Survivors include his parents; his brother, Elliot (Kayla Prather) Denning of Bloomington; his nephew, Jonah Denning; his maternal grandparents of Norwich, CT; and several aunts, uncles and cousins; many loving friends and his cats, Yoshi and Winnie. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents.
Thomas enjoyed reading, doing things on computers and playing music, he played guitar in several local bands with his friends. He was a 1999 graduate of Edgewood High School; he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English in 2007 from Indiana University and then an Associate’s Degree in Computer Systems from Ivy Tech.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Monday, October, 16th from 7:00 – 10:00 PM at St. Paul Catholic Center, 1413 E 17th St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 2:00 PM in with Father Joseph Minuth officiating. Deremiah-Frye Mortuary is assisting with services.
