William Francis Denewett

William Francis Denewett, 63, of Bloomington died Saturday August 21, 2010 at the Bloomington Hospital. He was born on May 5, 1947 to the Late Lawrence Francis Denewett and Barbara (Mitchner) Denewett in Grayling, Michigan. He worked for Bloom Marketing. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and US Navy. He served as a proud member of the United States Navy from May 1975 to February 1997. He retired a Leutinent of the Aircraft Organization Maintenance Material Control. His awards included the Navy Achievement Medal 2 gold stars, Navy Commendation Medal 2 gold stars, Meritorious Unit Commendation 2 Awards, Sea Service Deployment ribbon 3 awards, Navy Good Conduct Medal 2 awards, Vietnam Service Medal, Over Seas Service Ribbon 2 awards, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal.

He was a member of the Clear Creek Christian Church and a member of the Bloomington American Legion Post.

He is survived by his Mother: Barbara Denewett of Bloomington: a loving son Scott Bradley Denewett of Bloomington, a Sister: Lisa Denewett and friend Char Mitchell of Edinburgh, a Brother: Gary A. and Karen Denewett of Indianapolis, His former wife: Edna M. Denewett of Bloomington, Nephew: David (Sally) Denewett and a Great Niece: Samantha Denewett all of Cincinnati, Nephew: Jason Denewett of Indianapolis, Nephew: Chris Shockley of Vancouver, Washington, also Special Friends: Terry and Donna Guy of Bloomington.

He was preceded on his journey to Heaven by his father: Larry Denewett,and a sister Susan Annette Denewett.

Friends may call on the family at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM. The service will be held at the Mortuary on Wednesday at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at Clear Creek Cemetery. Rev. Glenn Hughes will officiate. There will be a military Graveside service by the Veterans Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.
