

Wilma Jean Greenwell, age 87, of Bloomington, died Wednesday at Meadowood Retirement Community in Bloomington. Born October 29, 1924 in Washington, Indiana, she was the daughter of Gustave H. and Lillian Agnes (Brewer) Jerger. She was a graduate of Washington Catholic High School and retired as manager of Bloomington Shoe Store. She loved gardening and had a special fondness for all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella.
She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Mike Eimer, of Lebanon, Indiana and Linda and Terry Lamirand, of Bloomington; one son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Susan Greenwell, of Bradenton, Florida; seven grandchildren, Jill Clay, Lesley Spatta, Allison Haskett, Sarah Craver, Nate Eimer, Greg Greenwell and Heather Ashler; seventeen great-grandchildren and two sisters, Betty Doyle and Colleen Burris, both of Washington.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Albert S. Greenwell, in 1997, one brother, Richard Jerger and one great-granddaughter, Katie Elizabeth Farmer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church with Fr. John Meany officiating. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery in Washington, Indiana at 1:30 P.M.. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary in Bloomington.
