Amelia leaves behind four children, twelve grandchildren and a great grandson. Her children, Gabriel A. Rivera, Amelia J. Vasquez, Jane D. Ferrell, and John L. Davila will carry on her legacy. In addition to her children and grandchildren, she leaves behind an entire community of friends and family that loved her beyond measure.
Amelia had a heart of service from a young age. She was part of her community in Clair Mel City (a suburb of Tampa, FL) for 45 years. During this time, she served her family, neighbors, friends, and community to the fullest. She never hesitated to provide love, help, food, shelter or a shoulder to lean on to anyone that she encountered in need.
For those that knew Amelia, knew that she loved her dogs beyond comprehension and served them as she did all others in her community. A huge piece of her heart belonged to her animals.
Amelia’s family would like to honor her by requesting donations in lieu of flowers be sent to one of her most beloved non-profit organizations: Low Rider Dachshund Rescue. Following is the link to the memorial page in loving memory of Amelia.
