Angelina Calia, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 10th. Known as Lee Calia to family and friends, she was born in Brooklyn, New York as the third daughter of Italian immigrant parents, Joseph and Angela Costanza. Lee was the beloved wife of Nicholas Calia who passed away in 2009. Nick and Lee were married for 61 years and are survived by their three sons John, Stephen and Chris. After raising their family in Huntington, NY, they moved to South Florida permanently in 1982. Oldest son, John Calia, lives with his wife, Suzanne, in Palm Beach Gardens. Lee has two grandchildren living in Florida, Peter Calia who lives with his partner, Cezare Rivero, in Ft Lauderdale; and Daniel Calia who lives with his wife, Wendy, in Coral Springs. Lee’s second son, Stephen, lives with his wife, Linda, in Fallbrook, CA. Her third son, Chris, lives with his wife, Jeanine, and son, Nathan, in Lawrenceville, GA. Viewing hours at Babione Funeral Home in Boca Raton are Tuesday from 2-4p. & 6-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Ascension Catholic Church in Boca Raton on Wednesday at 10:30am.
