Angelo Mario Cozza peacefully passed away at his home in Boca Raton, Florida on Saturday, March 6, 2021. He was 97 years old. He is survived by Concetta, his wife of 74 years, daughter Maria Cozza Levix, son Vincent, his wife Barbara, three grandchildren Justin, his wife Kelly, Trevor, his wife Nikki and Megan; as well as five great grandchildren: Sophia, Jackson, Maximus, Rome and Matteo.
Angelo serviced as an Aerial Gunner in the Army Air Corps during World War II and upon discharge married the love of his life, Connie. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he moved his family to Smithtown Long Island where he ventured into many entrepreneurial career challenges including milkman, shoemaker, shop owner and luncheonette owner. In 1974 he moved to Sunrise, Florida and continued his career growth in retail management. He moved to Boca Raton in 1994 and continued to stay active in his retirement as board member and President of the Boca Verde East Condominium Association. His creative juices flowed as he pursued his woodworking hobby of building birdhouses and doll houses. His favorite pastime was watching sports and driving for relaxation, with donut shop stops along the way.
Angelo was a loved and respected member of his community; friends and neighbors were always found at his home seeking advice or just enjoying each other’s company. He touched many hearts in his 97 years and was especially devoted to his wife and family. His good nature and love of life will be missed by all who knew him.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, March 19th, at Babione-Kraeer Funeral Home, 1100 North Federal Highway, Boca Raton, Florida 33432. Reception will be from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm followed by a Catholic service with internment at South Florida National Cemetary at a later date.
