Ashley Rachel Weir, 30, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 29th, 2024. Ashley was a creative soul, a free spirit, and a bright light in everyone’s lives. She was loving, funny, outgoing, smart, talented, and beautiful inside and out. Ashley loved her family and friends so deeply and fought for them fiercely. She always put others’ needs above her own. She never failed to bring a smile, or a laugh, to the people she surrounded herself with. She loved creating art, spending quality time with her family & friends, and cuddling up with her cats. Ashley always felt most at peace when she was at the beach and surrounded by the water, no matter the season. Ashley will always be remembered by her strong force of love, light, and laughter.
Ashley is survived by her mother, Carissa Garabedian; her father, David Weir; her stepfather, Mark Garabedian Sr.; her sister, Sophia Garabedian; her brother, Mark Garabedian Jr.; her paternal grandparents, Ronnie and Jeanne Weir; her uncles and aunts, Frank & Jen Toscano, Chris & Tina Weir, Mark & Marnie Weir, Steve & Michelle Weir, and Liz & Steve Schlesenger; and her closest friend, Hope Lofstad. She is survived by additional loving, supportive extended family including aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Ashley is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Frank & Carol Toscano; her step-grandmother, Mary Garabedian; and her cousins, Francesca and Isabella Toscano.
Ashley was fortunate enough to have lived in Florida the past few years where she was able to spend quality time with her Nana Carol, Uncle Frank, Aunt Jen, and her cousins Giana and Anthony. She was loved and embraced by everyone in her recovery network in Florida. She was so thankful to have such a loving and supportive “chosen family”.
Ashley’s friends and family will miss her dearly. Her loving presence and radiant light will always be felt and remembered.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 4th, 2024, at Babione Funeral Home located at 10060 Calle Comercio Dr. Boca Raton, FL 33428. The service will take place from 3:00 - 7:00 pm on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Changing Tomorrow Animal Rescue (in honor of Ashley’s love for animals) or the Herren Project for the treatment, recovery, and prevention of substance use disorder.
