Carol was born on December 12, 1945 to Melvin & Veronica Chojnacki in Pensacola, Florida where her father served in the U.S. Navy. After her father’s military service, the family moved to Baltimore where Carol lived until she retired in 2021 and moved to Delray Beach, Florida. She devotedly operated her restaurant, Cafe Troia, with her family from 1986 until its closure in 2021. She was proud to serve on the Board of the Towson YMCA for many years and was instrumental in raising the funds to build the new Orokawa facility in 2013. Cafe Troia was a strong supporter of the community and numerous charitable organizations.
Carol was a loving mother to Lisa (Joe) & Daniela (Mike) and devoted grandmother to Tyler, Emilia, Matthew, Evan, Kelsey, Grace, Olivia and Dominico. She is survived by her siblings Janice (George), Mark, Gregory (Tammy) & Eric (Ann).
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Francis Episcopal Church this summer.
