July 7, 1958 – July 25, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our amazing mother, Catherine Ann Bishop Perry, who departed this life far too soon on July 25, 2025.
After a long, courageous, and hard-fought battle with aggressive stage 4 breast cancer, Cathy’s heart ultimately succumbed to the toll of the illness. Through it all, her spirit never wavered. She faced every challenge with strength, grace, and unshakable determination—an inspiration to all who knew her. Cancer may have weakened her body, but it never dimmed her light, her love, or her will to keep showing up for those she loved most.
Born on July 7, 1958, Cathy brought warmth, laughter, and a generous spirit into the world that she shared freely with everyone around her. Full of life, sharp wit, and a touch of loving sarcasm, she had a deep love for home, family, and making others smile. Whether she was bowling a perfect game or rounding the bases in co-ed softball, she brought energy, joy, and camaraderie to everything she did. But her heart was always with her family—whom she loved fiercely—especially her grandchildren.
Her unwavering support and radiant smile will be missed every single day. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the beautiful memories she leaves behind and the love that will forever surround us.
She is survived by her devoted daughters, Angela Colucci (Steve Colucci) and Jessica Donnelly(Kevin Donnelly), and by her stepson, Chris Perry (Jessica Perry), all of whom will forever carry her legacy in their hearts. She is also survived by her loving brother and sister, Michael Bishop and Sandra Johnson, her cherished fur children, Dazie and Duke, and many extended family members and dear friends who were touched by her kindness, humor, and strength.
Cathy was a proud and adoring grandmother to Ethan, Gavin, and Grace. Her love for them was boundless, and she treasured every moment spent in their presence—they were the light of her life.
She now joins the love of her life, Ricky Perry; her parents, Wiley and Joyce Bishop; her sister, Brenda Bishop; and her brother, Ted Bishop, in eternal peace.
Forever loved, deeply missed, and always in our hearts—she now flutters freely with the hummingbirds, a gentle spirit in eternal flight.
To honor her wishes, A casual celebration of Cathy’s life will take place on Saturday, August 2nd, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Borgata Clubhouse in Boynton Beach. Friends and family are invited to come as they are to share stories, laughter, and memories. Children are welcome, and there will be access to the pool—feel free to bring swimsuits and towels.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to your local animal shelter in Cathy’s name. She had a deep and abiding love for animals, often going out of her way to care for those in need—whether it was rescuing a stray or simply sharing a quiet moment with a beloved pet. Honoring her memory in this way continues the compassion and kindness she showed to all living beings throughout her life.
