Christine F. Swan

Christine F. Swan, 81, of Boca Raton, passed away at home on Saturday, June 13, 2015 surrounded by her family and loved ones. Christine was born on February 14, 1934 in Chicago, IL a daughter of the late Frank and Kristine Gajdostik. Christine was a proud graduate of the University of Michigan where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Education. Christine spent many years as an Elementary School teacher. She later pursued a career in accounting, retiring from GE in her early 50s to Florida. In her retirement she devoted her time to being a generous, caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her husband Les Swan, of Boca Raton and Antigo, WI, her daughter Lesley Hackett and son-in-law Harry Hackett of Boca Raton and her two grandchildren, Ryann and Sean Hackett of New York, NY and Atlanta,GA, respectively.

A Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 15, 2015 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 501 SW 3rd Ave, Boca Raton, FL 33432. Interment will take place in Antigo, Wisconsin at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital on behalf of Christine Swan.
