David C. Mendez, 68, of Boca Raton passed away on Tuesday, June 9th, 2015. David was born in Puerto Rico on October 27, 1946. He grew up in the Bronx where he lived for the first 40 years of his life. In 1988, he moved to south Florida with his family. David served his country with the US Army during the Vietnam War. David was a loving husband, father and friend to all. David is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lillian, two daughters, Tahnee Mendez and Julissa Mendez and 7 siblings and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Babione Funeral Home, 10060 Calle Comercio Drive, Boca Raton, FL 33428. A mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, June 19, 2015 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 21689 Toledo Rd., Boca Raton, FL 33433. Interment services with Military Honors will immediately follow at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL.
