Gale was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Louis and Ann Mann. He graduated from Towson High School in Baltimore and attended several colleges before embarking on a lifelong career in the sales and service of food processing equipment. He was a very successful Hollymatic dealer for nearly 50 years.
Gale is survived by his life partner, William Hewett, as well as his brother Louis Mann (Judy) and their three sons and their children. He is also survived by his brother Gary’s widow, Nan Mann, and her son and his children.
Gale was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Mann, and his brothers Steven Mann and Gary Mann.
Gale was a kind and caring man who lit up any room he entered. He and his partner Bill shared a life together for nearly 38 years. They had a passion for travel, having taken over 50 cruises. They also visited Europe several times and particularly enjoyed their fishing trips to Alaska. In the many cities and towns they visited and spent time in, Gale and Bill were known and loved by the customers and staff at restaurants and hotels who they treated like family. Gale was extremely generous in his love of people and will be incredibly missed by those whose lives he touched.
Gale’s partner Bill and his brother Lou would like to give a special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Trustbridge Hospice by the Sea for the incredible care and compassion shown to Gale and his loved ones.
While he is gone from this life, Gale will live on in our hearts forever. Rest in peace my love.
