What a beautiful tribute.  We all have such fond memories of the Harbin family.  Loved seeing all your family photos.  Mom (Dee Boone) will love looking at them.  Pete left behind a beautiful family.

Pete Harbin was the Best of the Best.  A true trailblazer in many ways.  I cannot thank him enough for the barbecue at his house in 1980 when I first met Pete and he asked me to consider interviewing with Sensormatic.  It took 3 interviews for 3 different jobs over 6 months (thanks Len Barbato!) but I finally started late in 1980.  Meeting Pete changed my life completely and I cannot thank him enough for the opportunity he directed me toward with Sensormatic.  Pete, you had a great and positive influence on so many of us during your lifetime.  Rest In Peace Pete-we all miss you.

I was so very sorry to hear about Pete's passing.  He was like a brother to me.  We talked every day and I will miss him so much.

I worked for Pete at IBM  in 1967 and went with him when he started  Sensormatic in 1970.  He sent me to Chicago.  I met Judy in Chicago and Pete was at our wedding.

He was the kindest man I have ever met and he  taught me so much.  He always made people feel good about themselves and he was a great motivator.

We will keep the Harbin family in our prayers during these difficult days.  In your sorrow and loss, may God's presence bring you comfort and peace.

Oh Pop how you will be missed. You were always the true southern gentleman in my eyes. Quick with words of wisdom. How I will miss being called darlin by you. You always reminded me of what life is really all about. ..Family.  The world was definitely a better place with you in it. Thank you for gifting us your daughter Amanda. My family wouldn’t be complete without her in it.  Love you Papa.

My deepest condolences to the Harbin family and friends. I have very fond memories of Mr. Harbin while I was working with him at Sensormatic. One of the nicest man in the business. Always a pleasure to be around. God bless the family during this difficult time of grief. R.I.P.

Pete was the best person I ever have known, every person he touched had a better life, career and smile because of him! We have lost a true giant of a man!!!!

We all lost a unique relative and friend. He was a great motivator and leader. I would need a book, to describe his character and humor that I witnessed in working and travelling with him for 20 years at Sensormatic.  He was a class act, and  may he rest in peace.

Linda said it best when she said that Pete was "larger than life". It was always a pleasure to have a conversation with him. He was funny, compassionate and unlike so many, he was a great listener.  I will never forget one little ditty that he passed on to me. He said "Karin, this is really good cornbread. But, if you want to make it great and Southern, it has to be made in an iron skillet". Thank you for your wisdom. You will be missed more than words can ever say.

My deepest condolences to the family – what a loss and what a guy; I’m very saddened to hear this. We worked together and I thought the world of him. His nickname for me was Linda Bird (my initials are LBJ and I drove a little vintage ’57 T-Bird at the time with plates that read Linda’s Bird). His nickname for me always made me smile. In that unmistakable  voice of his he would call my office and say  “Hey Linda Bird, come on down to my office” and we’d chat or he’d ask when this or that brochure or project would be done – he knew I’d tell him the truth, not just what he wanted to hear.  He was larger than life and I know will be missed by so many. RIP Pete.
