As I viewed the video, my thoughts were that Joanne lived such a full happy life surrounded by family and friends and then my next thought was that she was taken from all far too soon.  She was kind, humble very thoughtful and oh so generous. Joanne you will be missed so very very much. Rest in peace dear friend. My deepest condolences to the family❤💛❤💛

I remember when you welcomed me into your home in Medford sometime during the summer of 2006. I was just starting to see Michael and he was so proud to tell me about his mom and his family. I remember being so impressed with you working two jobs, having a neat and organized house, and still taking the time to prepare delicious meals. (I wish I could have asked you to write down all of those great recipes !!!!) I still remember the breakfast sandwiches that were ready for us in the kitchen when we would wake up. Thank you for welcoming me (and Maddy!) into your home for years as we worked thru our long-distance relationship. 

I am sitting here today, and I am having trouble finding words for my emotions. I am heartbroken and still in disbelief. Waking up every day thinking it was a nightmare... but when I realize this is now a reality, I try to remember and share with Mike and the kids what we are so grateful ...
Grateful that you moved to Florida to be closer to Michael and Jessie. Grateful for all of the memories that Leanna and Blake can cherish because of that. 
Thank you for raising a son who cherishes his family and whose vocation is clearly fatherhood.  I can't imagine parenting without him—without having him to share the wild highs and challenges of this journey.

Until we meet again, I promise you to take care of your son, your grandson Blake and grand-daughter Leanna

My sweet dear friend….my heart is broken  to hear of this tragic loss of your life.  I’ll never forget our amazing adventure traveling to California together ..our first plane ride, first apartment, we bought our first car, working at House of Pancakes just to make enough money so we could go back to Boston (we were so homesick) we bought our first puppy together and named her MoJo.  So many more memories but I will always love you forever ♥️

God Bless you and your family.  We went to school together.  Somerville High School 

There's a hole in my heart that no one else can fill.  Those special memories of you and the past 50 years keep replaying in my head.   You always meant to much to me and always will.  The fact that you are gone will always bring me pain.  But you will be forever with me and I look forward to the day we will meet again.  Rest easy my sweet, loving Joanne.

We are so very sorry for the unexpected loss of your mom. I have so many fond memories of Joanne from our high school days to our adult days raising our children.  I will always remember her as a caring, compassionate and a sincere woman who loved her family and gave of herself 100%.   We shared a birthday and always made it our business to connect with each other on that day and “Toast” one another. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Jessica and Michael and to your entire family. A light in our World has been put out. R.I.P. Joanne.. You will be forever missed. 

We did not know Joanne very long, but we knew her as a kind, loving, and caring person who cared for her children, grandchildren, and all the doggies she’d

I was so sorry to hear of Joanne’s passing.  She was one of my late wife’s closest friends, and they could pick up after not seeing each other for a while in a way that was so special.  Joanne & her family were so kind to me, and I remember so fondly visiting the family home in Somerville.  In addition, when my wife Debbie passed in 2018, Joanne would often check in with me to see if I was ok.  She was a generous, warm and loving person, and that is a tremendous legacy.

Thinking of Joanne and all of her family at this most difficult time. Joanne will be forever in my heart
