

Joe Coletto, 81, of Boca Raton, FL. Passed away on June 16th, 2015. Joe was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 1st, 1934 to Domenico and Dominica of Bari, Italy. He and his family owned and operated a waste management business in Brooklyn for many years. Joe is a graduate of Erasmus Hall H.S. in Brooklyn. Joe then went in to serve his beloved country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army, 3rd Infantry Regement, the Old Guard at Fort McHair, Washington, D.C. where he was selected to be an Honor Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. In 1962 Joe married Julia Ann Healy of Brooklyn. They recently celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary. They moved to Boca Raton in 1977 where they owned and operated The Boca Lounge and Package store, a well-known establishment to many. Joe later moved back into the trucking industry. Joe was completely devoted to his family. He is survived by his three sons and their families whom he took great pride in. Joseph Jr, Stephanie Coletto and son Joseph III, Peter Domenico Coletto, his daughters Shannon and Erin and granddaughter Raegan. Andrew Thomas and Kelli Coletto, their Son Dillon and daughter Colleen. Joe is also survived by two brothers Domenico and Nicholas Coletto. Two sisters, Maria Raetano and Richard and Joan Norton. Joe is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Col. Robert and Evelyn Larkin, and Thomas and Irina Healy. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. They all loved and admired their Uncle Joe well known for his Pizza Pie. He was a tower of strength and bravery and a great role model to all of them. Forever in their hearts. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 19, 2015 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M and again from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Babione – Kraeer Funeral Home, 1100 North Federal hwy, Boca Raton, FL 33432. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 21689 Toledo Rd, Boca Raton, FL 33433. Entombment will immediately follow at Boca Raton Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorial donations may do so to The Debbie Rand Fund at Boca Raton Regional Hospital.
