He was born in Chicago, Illinois, February 12, 1935, the son of Daisy and Joseph G Poces Sr.
After serving in the Coast Guard, Joe worked as a Supervisor for ADT.
After his retirement from ADT, he became an electrical contractor in Bergen County, NJ. After retiring to Florida he became actively involved in the U.S.Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 36 in Boca Raton, Fl.
He is pre-deceased by his loving wife Rose and his two sisters, Antoinette Alfirevic and Dorothy Looze of Illinois.
He is survived by his 5 children ,Mary Bieda of North Carolina and her husband John Bieda, Diane Peters of New Jersey, Roseann Catalano of Florida, Laura Giangrande of New Jersey and Dr David K Poces and his wife Michele of Boca Raton, Florida.
He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He will be sadly missed.
A memorial service will be held on February 12th 2pm at Babione - Kraeer Funeral Home, 1100 N Federal Highway, Boca Raton, Fl. 33432
