Joyce was born on May 2, 1944 in Annapolis, Maryland, daughter of Albert Henry and Vera Lucille Crigger. Joyce was an artist at heart. She loved to dance, sing, and entertain others. With a lively personality, Joyce was always quick to share a laugh. She was an accomplished cook and had an enthusiasm for home decorating and fashion. As a professional massage therapist, Joyce was passionate about healing, and her kind spirit consistently led her to help those in need.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents as well as her siblings: Charles “Jabo” Crigger, Alberta “Sissy” Hambruch, Albert Crigger, Jr., and Shirely DiLeonardi. Joyce is survived by her son, Orlando Alexander Mendez, her partner Ed Frontera, and her siblings: Paul Crigger, Sr., Mildred Crigger, and Carol Garner.
