Mariann Dunmire

She was born on May 15, 1948 in Portland, Maine. She grew up in Lewiston, Maine and was a longtime resident of Florida mainly residing in Boca Raton.

Mariann was educated in Lewiston Schools and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1966. She graduated from Gorham State Teachers College (University of Southern Maine) in 1970 receiving a BS Degree in Elementary Education. She moved to Florida in 1974.

Mariann also graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 1978 where she received her Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education.

She worked at Maine Public Schools in Gray, Maine from 1970 to 1974. After moving to Florida, she taught at North Lauderdale Elementary School from 1974 to 1975, and then went to work for Morrow Elementary School from 1975 to 2010.

Mariann loved spending time with her three grandchildren Dakota, Jackson, and Savannah. She loved doing ceramics, traveling to spend time with friends and family. Her favorite pastime was watching all football on TV especially the New England Patriots.

Survivors include a son Matthew Dunmire and his wife Courtney of Lake Worth, Florida, three grandchildren Dakota, Jackson, and Savannah, a sister Barbara Mathieu, niece Jessica Mathieu, Bonnie Dunmire, Allison Swan, Joy Miers, Morrow Elementary Family and many cousins and close friends.

She was predeceased by her mother Frances M. Colello in 2004.
