Marie Maurice

Marie was born on June 15th, 1941, in Bronx, New York to Anthony and Mary Maurice, and was the youngest of 3 daughters. Along with her sisters Joan Maurice and Carmie Hayes, the family moved to New Jersey where she lived until she graduated from Holy Angel's Academy. She then went on to graduate with a degree in Education from Nazareth College in Kentucky. Marie returned to New Jersey where she enjoyed a career in high school education. In 1975 she was married to Albert Shalhoub, and they were blessed with a daughter, Jaime Marie Maurice in 1983. The family moved to Florida where Marie enjoyed many years working in a family business with Joan, and her partner, Julie Sasvari. Marie enjoyed watching Florida State Football, playing cards with friends, the movies and spending time with her daughter Jaime and her husband Ronen. She never missed an opportunity to reach out to loved ones on birthdays, special occasions or just to say she loved them. To know Marie was to appreciate her upbeat disposition and positive outlook on life. She loved her family and friends, and will be missed by many.

A visitation for Marie will be held Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Babione - Kraeer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 1100 North Federal Highway, Boca Raton, FL 33432. A mass of the Catholic burial will occur Friday, October 14, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 370 SW 3rd St, Boca Raton, FL 33432. A committal service will occur Friday, October 14, 2022 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at Boca Raton Mausoleum, 451 SW 4th Ave., Boca Raton, FL 33432.
