All my memories of Mark are of him smiling.  He was always so kind and a joy to be with.  Mark you will be missed, but will remain in our hearts forever.  

Mark was a beloved member of the Annie Hall, Inc. Family as well as Cindy.  He was the official "bread guy" at GFI shows,  he loved doing Wine Tasting demos with Cindy for many years on the weekends and joined us for all of our holiday and birthday celebrations. He was a true friend in all respects and was loved by all.
It is difficult to comprehend that he is not with us anymore, but will live in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, our dear friend Mark and Thank you for your dedication and friendship.

Dear Cindy, 

Mark was definitely  a good man, a gentleman, a good friend. He really loved you and you were always in his conversations, talking about the activities you did together during the weekends. Even though, it was the simplest activity, he talked about it with real excitement and showed me pictures he took about you. 
Also, I noticed when he spoke about his church, (yes, he called it: “my Church”), his eyes glowed every time he mentioned. 

I hope God will lead you with much strength to carry his memories along the passage of life.

Remembering that wonderful evening at your beautiful home with you and Mark, Janelle and Milton, Denise and Bill... what a super memory of laughs and stories and amiable, easy friendship. 
I regret that I don't have a photo of all of us, but, somehow I do have a photo of what we were drinking with that amazing dinner. 

Other than my Grandfather, I never really had much of a father figure growing up... but my Uncle Mark really did help to fill that fun dad roll that I had always missed in my life. Every holiday I would look forward to getting to be just a silly kid with him, and he would always have some new nerdy and interesting toy that he would be excited to dazzle me with. It’s really hard to face that I won’t get to look forward to seeing my Uncle at another family get together ever again, and it’s difficult not to let myself dwell on how short and unfair life can be. But... I know in my heart he is up in heaven, making everyone laugh just as he always did with all his friends, family, and especially his loving wife -my most favorite Aunt- Cindy. His passing will forever leave a hole in all of our hearts, but our memories of him will continue to bring us joy and happiness even through the pain of his loss.

Mark was my cousin Cindy’s love of a lifetime and also “Uncle Mark” to my daughter, Kylee. We spent the last 24 years  or so of holidays together with Mark always elected to do the carving of the bird. There will now be an empty chair at the table and an empty space in my heart that can never be replaced but always remembered. 
“Gone from our sight, but never our hearts.” Rest in peace,  Mark- until we meet again...

To my wonderful, loving, inspirational, generous, and incredible Uncle Mark. 

This news devastated my family and I. It is something we will never recover from. We have all been so blessed to know and love my Uncle Mark. He was a light in the darkness of life. What I would give to have one last hug. It comforts me to Know he is with nanny and pop pop in heaven now.  I love you, Aunt Cindy and Uncle Mark, always. As does your family, forever XOXOXO

Although it was for a short time, it was truly a pleasure working with Mark when we walked the halls of UM. His light, charm and love for Cindy provided beautiful anecdotes that will be deeply missed. Our family is keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace mark. I had the pleasure of working with Mark for a number of years.  His positive attitude, strong work ethic, and great sense of humor will be missed.  Please know my family and I are thinking of you during this difficult time and wishing you peace and comfort.

Mark Sepelyak was a dear friend of mine and my family for 45 years. We share many cherished memories and friends. We graduated from Middlesex County College and then Montclair State College (MSC, now University) together. He was accepted to Trenton State College too, but decided to go to MSC instead, because that’s where I was going.
We shared an off-campus basement apartment near MSC in 1975. We went home most weekends and Mark’s mom would send us back with a bunch of homemade food. My favorite was her stuffed cabbage! The next year Mark got into a dorm room on the 5th floor of Freeman Hall. I did not qualify for that, but became a frequent unofficial “guest” of the 5th floor. 
The infamous 5th floor is where Mark met Carol, his former wife, and he introduced me to my wife-to-be, Linda. I remember a huge blizzard when we all had a snowball fight in the quad in front of the dorm. The view of the NYC skyline from the 5th floor was beautimous (a word created by Mark I believe, like his pronunciation of sandwich was sangwhich). 
Mark and Cindy both love animals. I remember Mark’s family dog in Perth Amboy, a poodle named Peppie and his cat Zak who made it to their FL home and loved to catch lizards.
You may know that Mark was a biology major at MSC. When entering his dorm room, you would be confronted with many deceased biological specimens. To be certain, Mark loved living animals best. However, he was a scientist. The specimen I remember the most he nicknamed Duck. Sorry Cindy, but Duck was a cat.
Mark was a big Mets and Jets sports fan and became a big Miami Heat fan. His favorite sport was basketball. 
There are too many fond memories to cover here. I’ll finish with sincere condolences to Cindy and prayers for all family and friends of Mark. May he rest in peace!! 


Mark was dedicated to St John’s Church, serving on the Golf Committee and as an usher for many years.  His hard work and dependability was greatly appreciated.

 Being  blessed to be Cindy’s  aunt,    I was again  blessed  when she  married  Mark  and  I  came to love  him, too,  when my husband and  I were .fortunate enough  to spend  most  major  holidays  with  them  in  NJ  and  when they  later joined us in Florida.   We were  ballroom  dancers, too, so shared many happy memories  with  them especially   New Years   Eves at  the  great  ballroom  of   the  Polish American  Club  in Vero Beach.    Mark  made  every   event we  shared   better in every way  by his  great  personality  and  caring ways.   A  life well lived gone too soon.    Going  to  miss  you,  Mark.   May God bless  you  and comfort  Cindy  at this sad time.

Hi Cindy,

I just want you to know how saddened Karen and I were when we heard the news. While I haven't been at Annie Hall that long, I did get to know Mark a little from the food shows  and Annie's birthday party. You could tell he was a great guy and we are so sorry for all you must be going through.

Mark will be missed: his sense of humor,  his admiration and unswerving  love of his wife (and cats!), his enthusiasm for Ballroom dancing...and his competitive spirit- all made up just a small part of Mark's being.
Keep learning new tango routines, Mark; we'll see you on the dance floor someday.


Cindy words can't express my prayers and thoughts for you.  Many, many great times with Mark and your twist at our shows.  Mark's humor always broke the ICE !  He was a great great man. 🙏🙏

We have known Mark for decades.   I remember first meeting him in NJ and all the fun we had together.   Andrew and I had to great joy of visiting in Boca Raton FL and spending a day at Epcot.   We are so sorry that distance and COVID will keep us from attending Mark’s funeral.  The thing we will always cherish is Mark’s humor, his laugh, his smile, and his deep  love for Cindy.   Our love to our dearest friend Cindy during this sad time.   

Sorry for your loss my brother was a good man he took care of his family and the ones he loved he will be remembered  as a fun loving guy when we were young and kids we played basketball  together  with Allan  but he was the baby between the boys and he was a mom's boy lol but we loved him he will missed love you bro.
