Marlene S. Reighter

Marlene Sullivan Reighter, born September 17th, 1939, died February 1st, 2025 at the age of 85. She is survived by her four children Julie Tremont, Christine Reighter, Kathleen DiPaola (son in law, Jim DiPaola), and William Reighter. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-laws, Ron and Jeanne Reighter and Robert and Linda Reighter. In addition are her nieces and nephews, Donna Saad Matusik and Frank Matusik, Laura and Jeff Wolfe, Kimberly Kilzer, Nicole Reighter, Rachel and Conrad Secord. Grandchildren include, Luke Tremont, Sophia Tremont, Bobby Galasso, Richard Galasso, Amanda Galasso, Nick DiPaola, Elise DiPaola, Evan Reighter and Lilly Reighter. Worthy of mention are the amazing friendships she made along the way who always became like family! You know who you are:)

Marlene was born in Dansville, NY. She attended college at Hobart and William Smith, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Education. There she met the love of her life, Richard Reighter, now deceased and pleased they have reunited! Marlene raised her family in Syracuse, NY. She was a loving mother to four children, a loving wife to her husband and an avid volunteer. She was relentlessly patient, unless the dog ate her new Christmas slipper…watch out:) She dedicated her life to enhancing ours in so many ways they are not listable. She will be missed and forever loved and appreciated.

A memorial service is to be determined at a time when her family can gather to honor and celebrate her life.
